PHP Developer, Strong Silverstripe and/or Open Cart
This role involves:
- Working as a senior PHP developer in a team alongside a designer and junior developer
- You will undertake projects for clients ranging from small businesses to blue chip companies from simple website updates to complex development
- Teaching and supervision of a junior developer
- Setup of open source content management systems and ecommerce systems including Silverstripe and Open Cart, potentially Shopify.
- Providing technical support for client and company websites
- Database development, web applications and web development
- Client interaction during development or updates
- Working to deadlines
- Providing estimates of development time for project scopes and proposals
- Scoping technical solutions based on client briefs
- Full time or flexible part time considered (at least 32 hours per week preferred)
Skills Required:
- Senior level or competent intermediate developers considered
- Commercial experience as a website developer
- Proficiency with PHP, MySQL
- Good interpersonal skills
- Management of domain names and email account management (DNS for example)
- Understand how hosting platforms work
- Project management skills
